Chore wheel: whose turn is it today?

Type the names, spin the wheel and let luck decide who washes up, takes out the bins or cleans the bathroom. It can also share out several chores at once.

Optional: if you type it, it shows in the result.

How the chore wheel works

1. Type the names2 to 8 people: family, couple or flatmates.
2. Pick the modeOne chore for one person, or several chores shared out between everyone.
3. Spin and shareThe result is random and you can send it to the house group.

Drawing the chores nobody wants removes the “it’s always me” feeling: if the wheel decides, nobody takes it personally. To keep things fair over the week, combine chance with a points system that shows who did what.

FAQ

Is the chore wheel really random?

Yes. Each spin picks a result at random with the same chance for every name. In “Share out chores” mode, chores are also shared evenly: nobody gets two until everyone has one.

Are the names saved?

Only in your browser, so you don’t have to type them again. They aren’t sent anywhere.

Can I share the wheel with my family or flatmates?

Yes: the “Share this wheel” button copies a link with your names already filled in, so anyone can open it and spin.

How do we keep track of who does most?

With a chore app with points like TasklyFamily: every chore earns points, with a weekly leaderboard, streaks and a prize. It also has a built-in wheel and duels for the chores nobody wants.
